Etsy Picks: Debbie Carlos
My friend’s sister Debbie is a super talented photographer who just opened an Etsy shop and is selling half-tone prints of some of her awesome photos. Check it out. I’m pretty sure there will be more to come.
Portobello
This bad boy is going into my dinner. Gorgeous, right?
Vintage Find: Mid-Century ceramic lion
I found this guy today. He’s so cute, I’m torn about whether I should keep him or sell him.
Cactus from seed
I have embarked on a slow but hopefully rewarding little project… I’m growing three different types of cactus from seed. The ones below are Gymnocalycium kieslingii and will someday look like this. They’ve made the most progress since I planted them two weeks ago which is why I’m only showing you these guys so far. Aren’t they so adorable?
Follow up: Tiny blossoms
Do you remember this post? Well here’s what the buds look like open! Most likely pollinated by flies, is my guess, due to the colouring. I think these are truly lovely little flowers. It’s the first time this succulent has bloomed for me, so I’m excited.
Tiny blossoms
Spring is here! Many of my succulents are blooming. The cornflower is from outside of my local post office (yes I’m a flower thief), but the little lavender stems with the tiny flowers are from some Sedums in my garden. Ignore the cottage cheese texture on my wall in the second picture.
*In other news, I put a ton of vintage shoes in the shop, so check them out!
Héléne Poirié: Images en Gommettes
This is a fantastic vintage sticker activity book I found on Flickr, scanned by Maptitefabrique. There are so many other great books in the set “Livres d’enfants avant 1950” (Children’s books before 1950). Here are many more vintage children’s books spanning different eras. Be sure to check out this book & this book.
