Etsy find: Essimar
I like some of the more abstract screenprinted cards in Essimar’s shop.

I wish I could attend this show.
Happy Thanksgiving!

A singular find: Complete Book of Needlepoint by Carolyn Ambuter. I just want to make something with these letters!
I like these sweetly old-fashioned linocut prints from Sonia Romero. The whole alphabet is available (in different colours) in her Etsy store.
Florentijn Hofman’s “Canard de Bain” (aka “Rubber Duckie“) floating on the Loire river recently received a lot of attention (for good reason). Looking through his site, I found a few other installations which I was especially fond of.
I recently found the work of designer Lucile Soufflet. This older project of hers reminds me a lot of Lorena Barrazueta’s work (see earlier post), only Soufflet also incorporates silver to make precious objects out of disposable ones.
Attention sophisticated design folks with kids, or grown-ups with a penchant for neat toys: Readymech is a site with downloadable PDF’s of toys that you can build yourself if you have a printer (colour printer is ideal)… look at their site, you’ll see what I mean. Think “paper dolls meet Kid Robot“. The one pictured is by Siggi Eggertsson (see earlier post) which is my personal favourite.
