I’ve posted about Generic Man before, so since they finally posted SS08 collection online, I thought it was worth a follow-up. Such a lovely collection. I ask again… where is Generic Women?

So one of my new favourite street-style blogs is The Vagabond Looks out of Japan.  Of course, street-style in Japan is amazing.  Today  I was inspired by this combination… call me crazy. Her tights look like they have cave paintings on them!

This FW08 collection from Bureau is lovely.  Small, but lovely.  Am I the only one (besides the Sartorialist) who laments the fact that men don’t wear nice suits very often these days?

Ah, ’tis that time of year… the time of year that everyone gets married! I had found Whitney Smith’s ceramics a while back, but was reminded of her work again. She makes these lovely cake stands, which are very reminiscent of the Arts & Crafts movement- shoot, I know that they would have been perfect for my wedding cake!

Here’s another artist I found on Etsy who also has work up on Flickr.  His old found-photo drawings are especially interesting, and are what drew me to look at his work.

So even though summer is nigh, I’m pretty excited, because today I won these vintage boots on Ebay for $15. However, I stared dreamily at these beautiful Frye boots today when looking at Oak for inspiration.

Why is there something so appealing about meticulous arrangements of objects?  I really like this portfolio (which I found via here).

As a related aside, I recently found this flickr set, entirely devoted to photos of peoples collections. Collections bordering on obsessive-compulsive.

I love this beautiful Vollen Bench in walnut by Chadhaus, featured in the Piano Nobile Etsy shop.  It’s handmade in Seattle from Oregon Walnut (or Eastern Maple).  Too bad I have neither the money nor the room for it!
