Thanks to Old Chum for making me smile during a bad day/week/month. Loving this photo. The deer on top is the best dressed one in the photo, am I right? Sorry y’all, no indication of origin- Tumblr blogs are like that.
Umm… guess what I’m going to be looking for at EVERY thrift store?
Check out this rad Flickr set devoted to this book.

Thank you all for participating in my giveaway contest. Even though it wasn’t as big a response as I was hoping for, I know some of you are first time commenters and your comments totally cheered me up. I also loved seeing all of your shops, blogs, etc. Of course always a huge thank you to folks who are my regular or sporadic commenters already! You guys keep me going.
Sooo… the randomly selected winner is…. (drumroll)… Victoria!
Victoria’s comment was:
‘I too think itd would be a special necklace to wear every day! It would go so well with my daily stand-by of black skinny pants, a black tunic and cardigan, and my favourite black boots with stacked wood heels. It would stand out perfectly.”
Thank you Victoria!
Don’t forget tomorrow by 12 PM PST is the last day to enter my giveaway contest for a Triangle Grid Necklace if you haven’t already entered! A winner will be drawn on Friday the 19th.
These are details from a vest in the LACMA exhibit currently on view. Apparently it is a favourite of John Galliano. I can see why! Here is part of their interview with him.
Looking forward to seeing the exhibit soon.
LHABIT NE FAIT PAS LE MOINE – The habit does not make the monk
“HONI SOIT QUI MAL Y PENSE – Shame upon him who thinks evil of it.
So apparently there are about 6,000 of you looking at this blog. And about 250 of you that read via RSS (which rules). And yet, only about 10 of you ever comment! So this is a contest to get you to comment. Comment on this post and a winner will be chosen at random on Friday the 19th.
What are you winning?? You will win a Single Triangle Grid Necklace from my shop.
Rules are simple: please post your name and a valid email address in the designated areas, and also a little comment about what you’d wear with the Single Triangle Grid Necklace. Remember, leave a comment on this post by *Thursday the 18th* to be eligible for the draw on Friday. Good Luck!
*I have to approve all comments, so if your comment doesn’t show up right away, please be patient.
New jewelry! Number one here is my favourite. I will hopefully be adding more in the coming weeks before the holidays!
It’s been such a long time since I looked at Ellie’s work. There are many new pieces up on her site. I’m especially obsessed with the fabric and wallpaper prints she’s been making- whimsical, beautiful, and sometimes flirting with the grotesque. Her shop is fairly empty right now, but perhaps it’s soon to be filled.
