I love this necklace from Mended Veil. Not in my price range, but very lovely. Available here.
Tara at Sublet Clothing sent me an email the other day, introducing me to her sustainable clothing line. Unlike many eco-friendly lines I’ve seen, the line is well designed! I like these two designs especially… Thanks Tara!
My mom was so sweet, and bought me the much coveted Mina Perhonen book- vol.2 which is the Embroidery volume. I’m very excited about it. It was on my Christmas list, but I made my Christmas list a bit too late in the season (oops). So my mom gave it to me as a Valentines/Moving In present (we recently moved). The folks over at Tortoise wrapped it so nicely. Thanks again mom- I was not expecting this! See how pretty it is…
Here are a couple of looks from Eley Kishimoto that I liked. As always, great use of colour and pattern. Not so sure about the ruffle shoes however…
Lena Corwin shot photos for the upcoming Fall Mociun lookbook, and they are quite lovely. She posted some of them over on her blog, and I just had to repost, because I love Mociun’s prints, and I also think that Lena is very talented too. I’m excited to see the finished product!
Here are some more looks that I’ve liked so far during Fall Fashion week. Also some collections which I liked but am not picturing, are Marchesa and “Shipley and Halmos,” the new collection from two of the fellows that created Trovata. I like Jeff Halmos a lot and used to deal with him when I worked in the buying office. The new collection is very clean and tailored, and more sophisticated than Trovata. Good job guys!
My good friends over at Free City were kind enough to send over some photos of the new slip-ons that they designed with Vans. They look great! The designs work great on the classic slip-on. I like that they made the designs similar to classic Vans patterns, but used the Free City colour pallette, and classic Free City motifs (ie: the dove). This is great because it still makes the shoes wearable as every-day favourites, but makes them unique from other Vans.
