It seems that just about every blogger out there loves Sunshine & Shadow… I am no exception. Though I’m not about to race out and rock socks with wedges, I absolutely love the Spring collection, including the necklaces (which remind me a lot of Manu).

I used to do more posts for the guys out there, so this post is giving you all some love… I would just like to point out that if you haven’t checked out this shop, you should! There are really very few good Etsy shops out there that focus on quality men’s items.

I absolutely LOVE this series of photos. They are very tranquil and subtle, yet quite moving. They remind me of some gorgeous old hand-coloured postcards I have of caves in Colorado.
*I should caution you that many images on his site are definitely not safe for work*

So here’s the end result of my needle-felting patches onto my husband’s moth-eaten cashmere sweater (he was kind enough to model it for me). Look here for the “before.” Super fun. Original idea is here. I have another sweater to do as well… this time in a cooler palette. Have you tried your own yet?

I am not someone who is tempted to get a calendar, since I rarely use a physical calendar these days thanks to iCal and my phone, but I really like this one. I guess if you think about the fact that a calendar can be a piece of art as much as any other thing on your walls, then this is really quite perfect.

This is a small collection of things that would make cool presents- some are limited edition, some are vintage. I’ve also included a photo of my triangle necklaces because I do still have more of the vintage triangles left. Sorry this is late in coming… I’m not too great with the whole gift guide thing, but here goes!

These were just too sweet not to repost. A very lovely stationary company. Sometimes there’s nothing wrong with an old-fashioned floral, you know what I mean?

This badass-yet-feminine slashed up dress by Anne Sophie Back is so awesome. Love these I.D. Tuttle boots too. Both at Stand Up Comedy.

So this past weekend Seth and I booked our trip to Europe. We plan on going in and out of London, with stops in Reading, England; Den Haag, Holland; Edinburgh, Scotland; Antwerp, Belgium; and maybe other places along the way that strike our fancy. If you are even a somewhat seasoned traveler or live abroad and have any suggestions of places that are fun (and sort of inexpensive) to stay, eat, or just swing by in those areas, please comment! I would really value some input. We’re going to be there in late January which is rapidly approaching.

By the way, the Library of Congress just put up a bunch of photochrom images of Holland today on Flickr which is where I found the image above.
