My friend Audrey posted this excerpt from an interview with Nina Simone and I just love it.

You may remember my post about Makelike’s Cactus collection (which is still my favorite).  Well I just noticed that they have a forest collection as well which documents flora of the forest, including weird and wonderful fungi.  Love these dishtowels! Even more here including some lovely wallpaper.

If I had $1,200 to casually spend on a rug, it’d be this one.   Then I’d force all of my visitors to remove their shoes before entering my domicile.

This is pretty much my ideal work/think/create space.  I look at this picture and begin to drool a little…

Found this great basket at a garage sale this weekend for fifty cents, and the orange pot I picked up at the Bauer Pottery sale for a song as well. Hooray for factory seconds! The Bauer pot will soon be filled with a cactus or a succulent of some sort, and I’m still deciding what the basket should hold.  Until I decide, they can sit on my bookshelf and look pretty…
